I'm starting a new project. Not really sure what direction its gonna take at this point.. but I'm kind of going on what I have here so far. Check it out and let me know what you think, please.

It's a little rough around the edges, but what isnt..

Hmmm... well I don't know how to really critique you properly... the only electronica music I listen to is iMonster.

Theres some background keys that come in at 1:17 that I absolutely hated.

I don't really know what to say, you have good compositions, the notes and such, but I found myself being... bored and wishing there was some sort of rad (vocal) sample chopped up in there. I can't really give a good crit on this, I mean, its NOT a beat, its a different genre completely. The best I can say is maybe the build up to the drums ("the hard shit") took a little long, and that I found myself bored during it, so much so I initially skipped forward to see if there was going to be drums at all (although I listened to it in its entirety as well).

sick!!!!! love it.

I think some of the earlier keys could be mixed a tad better or maybe softened up with some delay or verb... but shit knock when everything drops.

sets a mood then 180's it.

have you heard the shit DJ Shadow is starting to drop now? mix of electro / grime..

Yes, Mace, I would like that very much.. would probably want to run some of my older work by him as well.

Voo-- Not crazy about this DJ Shadow stuff. For some reason, everyone ALWAYS tells me to check him out, that my music vaguely resembles his, that I'd love his stuff, etc. I always try but I just can't fully engage with it. This in particular just seems weird for weird's sake, and less than coherent. It has it's "wow" moments, but it doesn't all come together for me.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback all ... I'm gonna continue to work on this track, re-work some old ones, and maybe post some new stuff in the future.
